SUPERVISOR ITEMS
Supervisor
Staub Spiegel reports:
á
Having received a check from West Chazy Fire District
for half the cost of the new backstop. Wishes to thank the Fire Dept.
á
That a couple of Saturdays ago, someone entered into
the storage barn at the Chazy Rec. park and stole some baseball equipment. The
State Police had apprehended some juveniles and it was decided not to
prosecute. Spiegel asked if the Board would want to make a resolution that the
Town prosecute in the future. Councilor Devins moved for a resolution seconded
by Councilor Trombly, but after further discussion Councilor Devins withdrew
her motion.
á
Pfizer has a new marketer. Property has been well
maintained. No talk of demolishing for at least 10 months.
á
Having received a letter from Francis Smith advising
that he would no longer be available as of 12/01/2011.
á
That he has not received anything from Key Bank or
Community Bank about changing banks. Consensus was to wait until Friday and
hold a special board meeting if necessary to change banks.
á
That a couple of change requests to the 2012
Tentative Budget were received. Planning Board Chairman Tom Dashnaw requested
that the amount for schooling be raised back up to $1200.00. Also, a letter
from the two Town Justices requested a $500.00 increase for the Court Clerk.
After much discussion, a vote was called to determine if the appropriation
amount for the Court Clerk would be raised by $500.00. Councilors, Latremore,
Deno, Devins and Trombly voted no, and Supervisor Spiegel voted yes. The
appropriation amount will not change.
