CALL MEETING TO ORDER

Supervisor Staub Spiegel called the 12/28/09 Year End Town Board meeting to order at 3:00 PM.

A legal notice was placed in the official newspaper on 12/21/2009 as follows:

NOTICE OF YEAR END MEETING

TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Chazy will conduct a year end meeting at the Chazy Town Hall, 9631 Rte 9, Chazy New York at 3:00 PM on Monday, December 28, 2009. Purpose of meeting is to audit year end claims and any other business that should come up.

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HWY SUPT TO SPEND UP TO $17,000 TO REPAIR TRUCK ENGINE

Resolution: 09-150 12/28/2009

Motion by: Councilor Christopher Latremore

WHEREAS, the engine on a tandem truck has blown; and

WHEREAS, Hwy. Supt., Richard Lewis request approval to repair or replace the engine at a possible cost of up to $17,000.00;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Chazy Town Board does hereby authorize Hwy. Supt. Richard Lewis to spend up to $17,000.00 to repair or replace the engine of a tandem truck. The amount will come from the budget appropriations.

2009 SEWER DISTRICT FUND BUDGET MODIFICATION

WHEREAS, an appropriation account needs to be modified;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Chazy Town Board does hereby authorize the following Sewer district fund, 2009 Budget modification, to show an added unexpended balance of $4,005.00 and add $4,005.00 to appropriation account 8110.09.004.00.

DIRTY WATER/WATER DISTRICT

The Board had a discussion about what may have caused dirty water this morning that produced many complaints. Believed to have been caused as a result of the school (CCRS) having shut off the main valve to the school as they made some repairs and then turning it back on.

Councilor Jerry Deno made a motion, seconded by Councilor Donald Trombly to adjourn the 12/28/09 Year End Town Board meeting at 3:33 PM.
