The Supervisor of the Town of Chazy has called for a Special Town Board Meeting to be held on Monday April 26, 2010 at 6:30 p.m.  The purpose of said meeting is to advertise for a rebid on Town Hall repairs and any other business that should come up.

CALL TO ORDER

 

Supervisor Staub Spiegel called the 04/26/10 Town Board Special meeting to order at 6:40 PM for the purpose of advertising for a rebid on Town Hall repairs and any other business that should come up.

 

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING REPAIR WORK AND PAINTING TO THE CHAZY TOWN HALL USING GENERAL TOWN BUILDING CONSTRUCTION TYPE CAPITAL RESERVE FUNDS SUBJECT TO PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM

 

Resolution:   10-60             04/26/2010

 

Motion by:      Councilor Jerry Deno

 

WHEREAS, Supervisor Staub Spiegel, requests repair work and painting to the Chazy Town Hall;

 

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Chazy Town Board does hereby authorize the afore said repair work and painting to the Chazy Town Hall at a cost of not more than $22,000.00, of which would come from the General Town Building Construction Type Capital reserve fund, subject to permissive referendum; and

 

            FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk advertise, in the Press-Republican a notice of adoption of resolution subject to permissive referendum, authorizing use of General Town Building Construction Type Capital reserve funds to make such repairs and painting, not exceeding $22,000.00.

RESOLUTION REJECTING BIDS OPENED AT THE April 12TH TOWN BOARD MEETING

 

Resolution:   10-61             04/26/2010

 

Motion by:      Councilor Cathy Devins

 

WHEREAS, the Town Board decided to reject bids opened at the April 12th Town Board meeting for repair work and painting of the Town Hall;

 

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Chazy Town Board does hereby reject all bids received and opened at the April 12, 2010 Town Board meeting for repair work and painting of the Chazy Town Hall.

ADVERTISE TO RE-BID TO REPAIR/PAINT SOFFITS/EVES/WINDOWS/TRIM

WHEREAS, the Chazy Town Hall is in need of repairs and painting of soffits, eves, windows and trim; and

WHEREAS, there is a need to re-bid as the Town Board rejected the bids that were received and opened at the April 12, 2010 Town Board meeting;

 

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Chazy Town Board does hereby authorize the Town Clerk to advertise, in Press-Republican, the official newspaper, a request for sealed bids on the repair/painting of soffits, eves, windows and trim at the Town Hall, Town of Chazy, 9631 State Route 9 Chazy, NY.  Proof of insurance must be submitted along with bid. Sealed bids need to be marked ÒTown Hall Repair BidÓ and be mailed or hand delivered. They will be opened on Monday May 10 at 7:00 pm at the Chazy Town Board meeting, Chazy Town Hall. No electronic bids will be accepted. A Non-Collusive Bidding Certificate needs to be included with the bid.
