MEETING TO ORDER
Supervisor Staub Spiegel called the 04/12/2010 Regular Town
Board meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
MINUTES
Councilor Cathy Devins made a motion that the minutes of the 03/08/2010 regular Town Board meeting be approved as submitted by the Town Clerk, seconded by Councilor Christopher Latremore.
3 ayes, 0 noes and 2 absent. Motion carried.

The DCO, David Underwood, February and March monthly report submitted to Board for review and filed.

SEWAGE
PROBLEM/PATRICK SEYMOUR
Sup. Spiegel advised that he has been notified by Patrick
Seymour of 9461 State Route 9 that the County Health Dept. has advised that he
has to either install a raised bed sewage system or hook on to the Town sewer
system. Sup. Spiegel to notify Mr. Seymour that if he were to connect to the
Town system he would have to incur all expenses involved with the hook up.
COMPUTER
UPDATE PROPOSAL/DAVID DOMINY
David Dominy of Telephone Maintenance appeared before the
Town Board and proposed that the Town add an external backup drive for the
existing server and Acro Backup Software for $508.00 and a memory upgrade for
AssessorŐs office pc for $129.00. The Board decided that for now, they would
have him add the memory upgrade for the AssessorŐs office pc for $129.00.

Update on Chazy Recreation Center new building and
the removal of the old.

Water valve installation at school. Not installed yet
as wrong valve was received.

Update on water billing with The Station.

Update on burned out house on Miner Farm Rd. House
torn down but still has open foundation with water in it. Should code officer
check on it?
á
Likes the new pedestrian crossing signs on State
Route 9 and Miner Farm road.
á
Suggests that the Town Board give some thought to a
resolution that anyone who clear cuts their property plant some trees as a
barrier or put up snow fence in winter.

Suggests that the Town Board give some thought to a
resolution that would cause the assessment of commercial property to stay the
same and not decrease when a structure is torn down.
Councilor Cathy Devins Discussed The Following With The Board:

Update on the Pfizer plant. Nothing new.
á
Beekmantown School authorizing any money toward
repair of tennis courts at West Chazy Recreation Center. Sup. Spiegel has not been able to make
contact with school.

Update on JCEO. Barbara Marking of West Chazy is the
new coordinator at West Chazy.
á
Are Junk yards in compliance? Word from Code Officer
Robert West is that they are.

Staub Spiegel reports:

That he has received a letter from CCRS noting that
they would like more of Time Warner cable installed in the school. Sup. Spiegel
to forward request and also a request of adding more streets to the Time Warner
cable contract, if possible, to Attorney William Favreau for review, as the
cable contract is up for renewal.

That Adele Douglas was re-submitting a grant
application for a salt storage building.

the Chazy Town Board does hereby give the Town Supervisor permission to go out

per specifications; and further
RESOLVED,
that the Town Clerk be authorized to advertise, in the Press-Republican the
official newspaper, a request for sealed bids on repairing, repainting ball of

School for use of the swimming pool for the Town of Chazy Youth Swim ProgramŐs
Summer Swim Program 2010 at a cost of $2,200.00.
